"Human Cloning: Playing to be God"

Imagine that it is the year 2020, and your only son needs a heart ♥ transplant, would you allow some scientists to create an identical individual to save his life? This solution can sound reasonable, but this process called "Cloning" exists and it brings some moral issues that must be thought before to put into practice this procedure. First of all, cloning is defined as the process of creation identical copies of any organism, cell or molecule in an unusual way. It seems a perfect solution to some of the human worries but; is the society aware about the effects, advantages and disadvantages of this process? Is it good to take advantage of an embryo that will be destroyed to benefit someone? This essay was written to reflect about the fact of cloning, the disadvantages that brings to play with the human life and its reason for being prohibited around the nation of the world.

The first reason to avoid cloning involves cruelty, discrimination and manipulation that the genetical process can bring us. Some scientists claim that a deep research and investigation about the genetic map of a human being will give us an enormous advantage because we will be able to know concretely our abilities and which diseases we will be susceptible according to our heritage. At first sight, it seems advantageous, but can we imagine what would happen if this information is known by some companies? It is easy for the influential corporations to analyze the genetical constitution of their new employers and to reject all those who are vulnerable to certain diseases and in this way to remove them the chance of growth. Also, wealthy parents can create diverse embryos and choose the perfect one, throwing the imperfect ones: formed human babies in an embryonic stage; is not it an abortion? Clinically it is.

The second cause to not to allow the cloning experiments in humans refers to this method as an immoral answer to the organ donation and cure of certain diseases like cancer. According to the Spaniard Association for the Genetical Investigation, copying the DNA from a person to another and create a new human being to let it grow in a cryogenic environment is the ideal solution if you one day need a heart ♥ or a lung, even if you need blood or suffer cancer, you will not have to ask for donators because your clone is 100 % compatible with you. In other words, your clone could be a kind of case parts. However, obtaining those resources is not the only option. There are alternatives to human cloning without serious ethical objections. According to the University of Navorra Spain, in the human body there are adult cells which are precursors of other cells and can develop different organs and body tissues, as well it is feasible obtain mother cells from the umbilical cord.

The last motive to re-consider this practice is the use that some governments or companies can apply to the cloned being. Negatives interests may lie on the treatment of that procedure. As I mention before, potent corporations can take advantage of this situation on account of economical reasons and this developing business will become objectification and commodification of the clone, it goes without saying that this kind of business will profit with the health, life and the will of the person, because these companies take the liberty of human being with commercial goals. If it is possible, all the nations have to regulate the creations of embryos from this mean and to examine profoundly all the consequences and implications that it is capable of carrying to our society requires to accept the idea that for specific quantity, you can create new identical persons, and the government needs to control truly the conception of embryos and in this way, to avoid the bad use of this process. Even though, economical factors move the mind of some countries and there will not be guarantee that these regulations will be respected.

Finally, for those all reasons, it is recommended to utilize diverse ways to obtain the solution of different trouble such as transplant, organ donation, etc. It appears to be easy and advantageous to clone because is an identical reproduction of you; nevertheless we do not pay attention to all the possible costs that in fact implicates to produce a clone.
