...Photography: A vivid Art....♪♪♪

According to the dictionary, photography is the process of producing images or objects on sensitized surfaces by the chemical action of light. However, for me, photography is more than a process, it is an almost palpable art in which the maker can say & claim what he/she sometimes is afraid to say. Nevertheless, for capturing an image on paper, it is not necessary to be a connoisseur. Everyone is able to be a photographer, if you have a camera, you can rob any negible instant in your life and perpetuate it in your mind, because those pictures are the ones which caress or hit your soul & heart when remembering them. In my existence, I have seen multiple images, some of them alluring and jolly, other ones amusing or silly & some others shrill. This essay focuses on describing three of my preferred photos, all of them anonymous.

The first of those photos was taken in 1930 by an American photographer. The star in this picture is Dolores del Río who looks elegant, glamorous & snobbish as an actress. The image illustrates us a woman with a determined & immovable look. Her face is mysterious and icy, it makes me feel in a melancholic & bohemian environment where the smooth, uneven, warm & bitter taste & smell from her cigarette strike her pale chin. The sound in this illustration does not exist. All the noises that could have been there maybe were transformed into shadows which reflect the perfect & ideal image of a mature, captivating & ambitious female.

The second one is a portrait of a loner American-Chinese immigrant. I could not find the real story about it, conversely when I watch it for seconds, I can make a story about this sedate girl. I believe, this little kid is very gloomy but diligent at darning. Her naked feet are rough because of the asymmetrical, steep & crooked floor while her weary & petite hands are holding a sharp needle. In this photography, the environment is heavy & deafening, no one listened to her because her words were silenced by a Bessie Smith background song.

The last photo is one of my favorite Janis Joplin's pictures. If you watch it at first time, perhaps, this shot will not complicated or very inventive; but if you look carefully, it expresses the loneliness & grandiosity that can be imprisoned within the core of a true singer. This portrait was recorded during a concert, the frozen & fresh night, combined with the squeaking & blaring yells of the people made difficult for Janis to hear her own nostalgic & discontented thoughts. Also, the smells of the wild grass and the cheap hippie cologne, made felt her uncomfortable. I sense her sorrowful expression in her eyes is caused by her empty and grieving heart. She was celebrated and splendid artist; nevertheless, she did not find. Somebody to love and I want to imagine that this picture she was waiting for an ideal man for her.

To close, as I said before, photography can come to your mind the best moments you have lived, or to stir your memory and remember those moments for which you cried for a wrecked lover or a lovely mother. Besides, it is important to say that a photo can interpreted in different ways by different people. Consequently, this variety of interpretations creates the different feelings and emotions that receive and transmit a person. For that reason, I love those three amazing pictures that make me feel protected and jolly.
